Marion Chamber Trio

The Marion Chamber Trio provides elegant music settings for your special occasion.  Based in Marion, Iowa, the trio performs a wide range of classical, popular, Celtic, and sacred music to accent your wedding ceremony, wedding reception, cocktail party, anniversary party, or special occasion.  The trio is comprised of flutist Terri, cellist Rodney, and harpist Carolyn.  Carolyn can also add piano or organ selections to complement the trio's selections.  Our repertoire is listed below, along with some MP3 sample selections recorded by the trio. 

The trio tailors our musical  selections to your desires for your special occasion.  We have provided a typical list of wedding ceremony musical selections from our prior clients.  Please inquire about special selections.

The Trio's Members:

Carolyn Sternowski, harpist, is an active musician in the Cedar Rapids area. She studied harp with Gretchen Brumwell of the Cedar Rapids Symphony and plays on a Lyon and Healy Prelude Harp, a lever harp with 38 strings. In addition to performing with the MCT, Carolyn is active in the area as a church organist, and bell choir director. She is also an arranger, writing several of the MCT’s arrangements and has published several bell choir arrangements.  Contact at carolyn@marionchambertrio.com .

Terri Hodge, flutist, studied at Coe College with Jan Boland. She is a member of the Eastern Iowa Flute Association (EIFA) flute choir and performs with the Cedar Rapids Municipal Band. Terri is also an active church musician in the Cedar Rapids area, performing frequently on flute and directing several bell choirs.  Contact at terri@marionchambertrio.com .

Rodney Ocenosak, cellist, studied at the Cedar Rapids Symphony School of Music under the instruction of Barbara Owen. Also an active church musician in the area, Rodney performs with several vocal and bell choirs, in addition to playing cello.
